I’m holding my own
hand atop my beating heart
for to celebrate.

So Friend
I love you
Don’t tell anyone
Since exactly a bit after half past 1am
When I was awakened
I have been waiting for daylight
To tell you
And now in the night again
It feels late
But it’s time
I told you
Good Night
Concerto: A Haiku
Must the strings soften
And tempo become more sure
That Hearts may transcend
Only Ears
With talk of the glitter and gold that’s on sale
I wanted
Just this once wanted
To speak about Santa
To plead his case, there in my tiny kitchen space
He’s real, you know
The jolly, the old, the sharing, the care
It being just November, such talk would widen eyes with the wrong wonder
Quite quickly, I ushered the imagined magic back into the attic
And sadly shuttered that door
He’s busy, they’re busy, lists of to who, to do, to should and to want
None of it’s useful to me
of steel
There
Bury me there
I’ll make a grand wish
I’ll take my last breathe
Before
I’ll take off the cape
I’ll have no regrets
Then
I’ll boldly look
I’ll demurely touch
Heaven
There
Wire Rims
He’s not afraid to belt it out
I think that’s the distinction
And the tone of his courage
Spraying through the status quo
Is all we were ever born to know
Devoid
I am just dust
Synchronized dust
Blown into the airspace of you
And there are moments
Most blissful moments
I tell myself it is not true
Black
Golden Years
Two smiles walking
Glowing from the years
Side by side and certain
The Universe was honest
Wordsmith: A Haiku
I cannot escape
From a solitary word
Not made gold by you
