I wish to stay lost
Away from random dicta
I wish for strangersTo share in matters
That deal in the eternal
I wish for that friendIf conversation
Turns to pin-dotted pearl lace
I wish to stay lost

My Beloved Son
One mismatched mile
One checkered step
And the next
Then however hundreds more
Add the many thousands until
There you find her
Lightning and leather
Turn her soft shoulders gently West
Take off her sunglasses
Hand her the keys
Ask her again
Put your foot down
And drive I say
This Haiku: August Gold
This Haiku: Yesterday’s No More
This Haiku: Oh The Quiet
This Haiku: Come. Fate.
This Haiku: You’re Sunny
This Haiku: Once
Did It For Me
I needed to stay
and watch you
tremble in your sleep. With nary a sound,
you stunned.Observing my eye.
Collecting my thoughts.
Grouping.
And processing, processing.
Slow first, then faster.
Performing.Although slumbering,
you sensed my awe
and lack of a shutter for proof.
Still orchestrating,
you made me miss my flight.
