This is nothing new
Confusion, doubt, longing and
Wrapped in Hope’s blanket

Ode to Terry
I asked Him who I am.
“You are the Sky
that I made
to see things
that Earth and Water do not.
I gift you the Fire
to search and tell.
I grant you the Wind
that your words would fill the voids.
I made you to do that.”
This Haiku: We Must Ask
We Were Kind
There is that ocean.
Much may be said in it.
But if waves crash,
the sun sinks low
and every new moon refuses to shine,
all I’ll care about is what That Ocean says to Me.
If we only ever gaze at each other,
tell me I’m beautiful, because I am.
If our feet meet and we swim,
tell me I taste delicious, because I do.
If on that ocean’s shores I slip,
and fall to my fate,
my soul
is old enough
to own it’s errors.
And may Mother Earth say that I’m kind.
