The electric dance
The head rush
The note in the air
The blood’s heat
The half-moment before dawn
The sound wave
The breath’s vapor
The holy hello
The grace of gratitude
The one who does
Falling
I’ve renamed it Rising.
It’s what’s required with this special kind of pain.
Rising.
To the occasion.
Or dying to it.
Or both.

If asked to tell the picture,
I truly like this place.
Here’s what to see:
there’s he and she
with no desire to race.
They’ve siblings of all colors
who lend or need a hand.
They give and take
and music make
in Brotherhood, the band.
Oh, and there’s a hammock
they take it everywhere.
Cities, mountains,
beaches, badlands
and with the weary, share.
On fortunate occasions,
they visit and have games,
share food and drink,
then do and think
and recognize their sames.
And of their differences
-what’s not to celebrate?
From those they’ll find
the lifelong kind
of lovers, friends and mates.

Have it for breakfast
Else it turn the day tragic
Bite. Chew. Smile big. Gone.
I Am Always
Holding the knowledge
That hope will never fail me
