Your fabulous voice
From your lungs, heart, throat, lips, eyes
Will you speak to me?

The Rocks We Collect
They often fill our path
Over some, we stumble
then hurl to the wind.
But most are just rough and pretty, smooth or slippery.
His strength will not fail us
should we choose to lift them all up
and turn them to art.

Mermaid: Confidential
On red-sky nights
She Steals
from the strong-willed.
Sucking
the beautiful
under, along with her.
On red-sky morns’
She Hopes.
But doesn’t discriminate
between beauty that is
with or without
gills.
At midnight
She Reflects
on the position of the Moon.
And may delight or give warn:
“You want to swim?”
“Are you certain?”
The How
Our Earth
As we consider the Day
This in earnest we say
We wish to go out from the fray
For we know You Are Home
But would it be okay
if we dance for more days
and more with creatures play
and, too, take the long way home?
