To write of the rain
When drought looms o’er this valley
My pen would ask why
Corona Blue
Will you come back
Call my name one last time
With that Aegean smile in your voice
Comfort me with your bewilderment
Remind me I’m smart
Let me sneak into your shoes
And pour myself onto you
Will you come back
obscured: A Haiku
Chin up and recall
Who stared at your hurting heart
With a false god’s eyes
In Uppercase
Write their names in the sky
In blue and gold, forever scar the clouds
Let Them Believe
For when they believe you believe
They will seek all they are
And with an eagle’s eyes
Pick up Hope’s pen
Mustang: A Haiku
I want you to drive
And I’ll not worry whether
My hair misbehaves
Want
When
In your rusty, craggy, rasp
You speak
Shall the manna cease
I
Reach hopeful
Faithful
And doubtless
To correct your precision
To say This
It Can not
Remembering
I look within and to the sky
With wonder
Why
I thought to leap
What
Had I to give
That had not before been
Properly pronounced
In such a way
That hearts could care
I care
Post: A Haiku
Because I’ve endured
How love does not taste and feel
I know this is bane
Lent: A Haiku
Autumn had its way
My hair, now Wint’ry silver
Is promised Summer
haiku
With each syllable
The Earth is falling away
And my breath fails me
