Me
You have anchored me
Tho’ I know not
Do I
Sit at the bottom of the ocean
Or is
The mountaintop my resting place
Li’l Gladiola: A Haiku
I keep you alive
I water you every day
Li’l gladiola
Go watering can
Gather up all the world’s dust
Some back shelf I pray
Flaw
Did you ever believe
With all your heart
If you gave your heart
And all the walked-out words
Under the Sun
And indeed, gave even the Sun
If you gave that
If you gave a damn
Ten damns
A thousand damns
That you could journey
To their heart
And change their words
Their spat-out words
That broke the all of your heart
You gave
Did you ever believe that
Ten Atmospheres
Fast and loose
Close to the heart
Mysterious
Leads with her chin
Deep
Ten atmospheres
The funny man
Stoic I am
Competitive
Why
Irreverent
Yes but no
Cool as can be
Desperately so
Perseverant
Grow old with me
On The Loose
There’s a station
Radio dial
Where alls they talk of’s commitment
Magic
And me
My Congeniality
My tiniest bites
I’ll torture him
Patience he’ll cry out
For his sake and the gods above
Oh my Congeniality
Crazy-making it will be
Cinnamoned-sugar and honey
Kicked from the table beneath
Anything Is Possible
Blind to dark truth
Accuse me of such
Of reality
I do not think much
Visions with wings
My eyes focused there
Of what’s possible
My heart takes that dare
Somewhere Alone
There in the square
Guide my mind
Tell
The rapid that came
How quickly it left
How it took all from your bones
With dark in your eyes
Stop my heart
Tell
Me alone
The Hollow you felt
The Spike of what heightened your cry
Your voice now evened
Quench my thirst
Tell
What fell
And its path
And all the else too, you let fall
Oh Guardian: A Haiku
When I walked blindly
As childhood will accomplish
My heart had Such wingsWhat delinquency
What shame to my guardian
My wayward carouse
precipice
Listen
To learn
Avoiding the urge
To run
Dwell there
To rise
Where once you struggled
To walk
Listen
To learn
Or else be pulled back
To pain
