The big talk
And any glitter
What early signs of a smile
Framing eased eyes
Tilled under now

Don’t think
It’ll grow

December 13, 2016: A Haiku
While boundaryless
There was nothing, there was need
There was disaster
You All Along
There is a message within in us each
Will we entertain calm to hear
Fabricate our Messiahs rather than pause
Wonder-filled at the wisdom they bring
Then further we plunge into some noise
We the Us
Thank you for the moon
That takes us by surprise
The glow about it
Allowing us to better see
Our frailty and commonality
Thank you for the moon
Nice
What am I made of that I do now see
Sweetness and zeal has not carried me
Into the arms of a steed-mounted world
Humbly before you, a mistaken girl
Cast your hand again into the deep fire
Include a prayer to ward off The Great Liar
So the next heart may see with clearest eyes
You were just hoping to help the girl rise
Wildlife: A Haiku
Take your rightful place
Up against me, against us
For you are with us
Muscle
A house of cards, the world
And I, the tall girl
The small girl
The queen of hearts
Hovering
Wishing the wind away
And gravity gone
Instrumental Song
Lyrics be damned I guess
If for you the sacrifice is sleep
O’er too-tight heartstrings
Played fast and loose
To appease just you
Words take your leave
Let’s let slumber
Form rhyme, fuse rhythm
Slow but certain
Without the sound of you
You Remain
Then you are ruin
A puddle stepped in by mistake
And not out of Vivre!
You are confetti
The nuisance forgotten
And not the heralded
You are the dark
Shuttered away alone
Not the blessed cool of eve’
