Leading
Chin first
Each day
Into the red
Through the crowds
I cannot recall
A single moment
That I regret
Even red flags
All
As if the faint screech
That is all I can utter
From this loyal and forlorn heart
Would provoke your thought
Summon your soul
dawn’s fact
Reaching under toward
The unlit light
For an anchor
For something
Always and alone
I could cry -I have and I do
This I promise
Stay there too long
With tears ankle deep
And you’ll miss the maddening laughter
That carries you safely through
To dawn’s fact
Pleased
Square
Straight-on
Smack-dab in the middle
Smiling
First though
The trace of lines
Then of curves
Then lines again
The look down finally
Pleased
Hoping you were too
Star struck
Saturday, April 16, 2016: A Haiku
’tis mid-day soon, love
And the sun so far away
Oh what will I do
Not Saturday: A Haiku
The absurdity
She the Raven, he the dove
Both forever birds
He holding black quill
White linum betwixt her beak
A loonish event
Undying Declaration
Tell me how you heard
What I said in my sleep
Rule it admissible
From the mahogany
Only over there
Up there
For evermore
Maraschino: A Haiku
I walk this way, for
I’m hoping to spill happy
all over this place.
His Frame
Sowing seeds
Since the start of time
With perfect will
Your reason and rhyme
Omnipower
Cloaked in love
Everywhere
And high above
Your frame we’ll find
If when we look
At Adam’s side
And your Good Book
Tangled in you
Our history
Serving truth
Oh please find me
Wax
That song where he whispers to start
This time there’s more than guitar for me to findIn the middle he pleads from his heart
As I memorize each slow-dance stepFinally he lets the drum lead to fade
To my whisper a screamed we’re alone
