Every time I look
The light always turns on
And I’ll reach with wonder
To put it out
Hoping
You don’t find yourself
Missing the dark
Unharm: A Haiku
May the compassless
Be given travel mercies
They know not the way
fast fade
My god, the green
I watched as it withered
Far from the windows, my soul
Surrender
The creature to be responsible
Hasn’t yet been remade
But neither it seems to me have I
What purpose this barricade
Those hands believe themselves unsteady still
These two remain tight-clenched
But here is a spot on my shoulder
And there is a place on your breeze
Let details be nothing to care about
Let fate find its way with ease
got to remain
One lazy sofa chair
The color of toasted hay
To set and stare out with you
There before the picture window
Ella in the air
Louis hamming
A roundest table considers with us
The calm and the busy
Whatever would we talk about
Insight
In the dimmest of light
Look hard
Look close
Reach out
Even if blindly
Touch the beauty
Of Choice: A Haiku
Invisible ink
Would that my heart not run dry
Ought my pen bleed out
Myth Until Then
When in my next life
To be caused to know
What led the learned
Head tilted to wonder
For
The curve of your forearms
The ness of your sinew
The steady of gait despite your bumps and stripes
The all of your being I believe it must be
A most curious creature
Therefore
I think
I’d confuse you
My language is littered
With double-negatives
I do it
To keep my mind on its toes
And my toes
Stumble strangely
You wouldn’t expect it
Given my outward grace
I’ve seen you move
With the speed of lightning
But I’m slow
To put things where they belong
I’d confound you
I don’t know why I wouldn’t
Coveted: A Haiku
OH to be Summer
That most fortunate season
When her skin feels bare
