This morning
Quietly
Well before dawn’s shadowy light
It was decided that sunflowers would await my own eyes
And then I breathed
Fireflies flowed with truth they must bring
Tragic truth
Pieces of hearts strewn about
Little lives glowing with faith pick them tenderly
Up
Affix them
Together
It is daybreak soon and I run to the windows again
Thy Why: A Haiku
hinterland
Now comes the King
To the table
To dine
Neither filter nor manners concern him
How long the heathen’s reign
How far reacheth the aid of his decrees
How fair the one who won’t curtsy to him on this path
Eternal Paths: A Haiku
Man, Woman
Instead of sequins, spikes and spats
I may make space
For cuddling crazy cats
What are your thoughts on that
Heat: A Haiku
A different stare
But still the same wond’ring gaze
This must be the day
White

I maintain
I could have done without the black
I had to look a second time, and then a sixth
I see it still in the most unremarkable places
I looked upward and Life appeared
I saw its red against the White
I feel the black come over me
I eye up red against the white
clear eyes: A Haiku
Tweed: A Haiku
Hand tucked at the hip
Gives me a clue about you
Now come the goosebumps
Cylinder Sounds
I was hearing her
People do this don’t they
God am I the only one
Dialogues with ghosts
Of events played out or not
The flow then ebb
Of adrenaline and resolve
Praying Praying Praying
