The unnoticed threads
That hang random off of us
I like that I love
Monochrome Day: A Haiku
This Haiku: Thank You
I’ve been deciding
Between such fanciful words
Or just a “Thank You”
This Haiku: I’ll ask Him
Why did he notice?
Was it that I sought a sound?
That I’d feel once more?
Grandiose Giggle
Some book or some manual somewhere
Warns of delusions as grand
As the ones
I believe
I’m OK
With the knowledge
There are sunrises refusing to hustle
And sunsets equally reticent
But for my permission and wink
Rivers refuse to empty to sea
And winds wait in luffed sails
Lest my right hand’s at the helm and my left holds the lantern at 2:44 in the morn’
Artist’s notes will not paint
Or give wings to the heart
‘Til I dream that our feet give them grace to dance with
The Firework’s grand finale
Along with The Checkered Flag
Pause
For my nod
Yes
I am grand
This Haiku: Hope Is A Red Vine
Bring on the challenge
To believe what my blood knows
And deny new news
This Haiku: The Path I See
They are asleep now
A whisper will have to do
…all I need’s not true
This Haiku: Glory
Will you let me go
To where only fire can live
Where no eye has seen
Dream Car
In case you’re not mine
Or time steals you from me
I’ll say now what I know I’d say then
My god you are hot
With your grey and red lines
And the virtues still black on your skinThat muscle back there
Makes me wild like back then
Still a classic -your drawl and your pen
Oh the years and the day trips
Fast curves and near misses
And the danger again and againI hope that you’ll find
That I made the right choice
That no restoration was needed
We ride fine me ‘n you and our rockin’ pit crew
Be damned rules of the road never heeded
