To be and to have
The friend who knows from afar
And abides with you

This Haiku: Helicopter Head

Vow you’ll not walk Earth
Suff’ring the ordinary
You’re meant for the sky

How you observe time.
What on Earth is more sublime?
By your side. Your side

If your tears should come
Find my tears at the ready
To soften the fall

I imagine I’ll see a SuperHero-BadGuy and princesses by the dozen at each turn….

There’ll be good words, a smile and sugar for each….

Write it in yellow
Or the dirt roads will find me
Promise forever

I am a looker
When I don’t know where to start
I look for who’s lost

Others’ plans for me
Will not be my destiny
Because I am His

I call it my prize
The tether that formed, I need
How vast is that heart

There’s no part of us
That’s not covered in blessings
Including each breath
