I’ve sipped soft at Tea
It’s the polite thing to do
Being a Lady
As I smooth away
To refine peace to a “T”
It’s there I’ll drink deep
Santiago Calatrava annex front walkway, Milwaukee Art Museum
Eyes emptied of sight.
Noses numb to life’s sweet scents.
Faculties failed, oh.
If this might be so,
I’ve a brush soaked verily
if you have desire.
They often fill our path
Over some, we stumble
then hurl to the wind.
But most are just rough and pretty, smooth or slippery.
His strength will not fail us
should we choose to lift them all up
and turn them to art.
