Haiku on Being: Thursday, March 6, 2014

I look at my plate
Full with shelter health food love
Oh why Lord Why me

Haiku on Being: Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Don’t hedge against hope
Believe in it Inject it
It’ll always win

You’re a whole person
But it’s okay to need help
’til feet touch the floor

The lie is I Can’t
Tho’ the journey steals the breath
The truth is I Must

Wordsmiths are valiant
Seize them or flee For their tool
Wields rapture or pain

I like haiku ‘cuz
You bite it off chew it up
And swallow it down

What would it look like
To abandon past tenses
And act with intent

Thank you.

Some can’t be trusted
The only way to know who
Is to trust yourself

Sunny horizons
If we reach beyond our grasp
Will be ours to taste

Original Thought Credit: “Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, Or what’s a heaven for?”
-Robert Browning
