This amazing dance
Analyzed time and again
Thank goodness for sleep

Why’s validation
Sought from other sources when
He’s our biggest fan

Checkered flag is mine
Urban chic on race car wheels
Guys write songs of it

Some kinds of teachings
Convict of eternal truths
Teachers sure can rock

Songs sung strong and clear
Despite static that we hear
Those are the sweetest

Your dance angelic
And oh your smile contagious
You who’ve accepted

Bursts of joy break through
Permeating the moments
Laughter Contagious

I see what we share
As I peer over at you
That takes bravery

Don’t wish it away
Wish instead to be prepared
Gear up and go forth

Looked up from my screen
Out the window at the scene
Early morning awe
