despite the adversity
to rise up, to thrive

I abandoned here
This Once Place, lowly and all
Where No One left me
Prairie Red: A Haiku
The walls won’t demur
And the gardens must concede
I caused truth with them

Sighted: A Haiku
I will swim upstream
And against esteemed advice
I will curse the dark
Want: A Haiku
Our actions, absent
Our language, lacking goodness
Why do we not care?
Last Drop: A Haiku
And love, life and breath
And all I’ve never grasped for
Are fleeting, I know
his: a haiku

though it’s not my fault.
At Day’s End: A Haiku

Not a joke, nor anecdote
Nor well performed script
