Bug: A Haiku

You opened your hand
Though all your synapses say
Clench your fist tightly

“March Again” -a haiku

I’ll repeat this here
There is an ease in their eyes
You’ll need it too now

I’d hoped to help heal
Or at least I’d save myself
Invisible ink

Start at the center.
Follow through to the outside.
Love it. Love it all.

Today you told me
Don’t leave this moment, but dare
To withstand its fire

Thank you defender
I’ll not fall prey to despair
Nor be Tempest-Tossed

None blood between us
I dreamed last night my brother
Showed me tenderness

How is it that I
I who dwells in this frame be
Detained from a life

Ah! I’d forgotten

It’d started with a hello

Trouble always does

When he reached across
To touch her muscle, her heart
He became a man

I’ve no further sense
Of whether I stand with you
It feels like heaven
