Lost in the seconds
For there is a mystery
With whom I must dance

The Why: Another Haiku

More prone to folly
There is none like her on Earth
I’ve cried out her name

Hoping he loved me
Chasing all the scraps of him
Just disgraced daybreak

The Story that is

And the courage to write It

Are not optional

Wish her upon you,
I do. For -how tall she stands!
How she makes you. Smile.

Each breath must act new
In alignment with my heart
Else why endeavor

I peer from upstairs
My four strong walls and one door
In love’s pagoda

I walk in Sanskrit
My neighbors breathe my incense
In wonderment drawn

I prayed not knowing
The flavor of joy you’d taste
I love your happy

I will be the one
In all these generations
Whose mind I can trust

Only if and when
I throw questions to the wind
As you hold my hand

Laughing as I walked
He was scheming as my heart
Sought out its best friend
