All the orange-red raspiness
The sitar in back

Cannot Look Away: A Haiku

Shadows hold intrigue
The light teases out the dark
The eye holds its breath

Please show up today.
Us together. We need us.
The air asks for this.

I hope this morning

You’ll look far back there, look deep

And think of your Fire

Good, as it changes
Can become even better
It need not leave us

I can’t make the plaid
Take its leave of my mind’s eye
Regardless, I’ll try

Yes I will keep you
Where all you are will shine through
I will set you free

Weeping. Deep mourning.
Joy. Thrill. Love. All fading now.
What rollercoaster?

Sweet Sleep will you come
