Life’s brought me laughter

And tho’ I’ve learned through life’s pain

Life owes me kisses

Breakfast: A Haiku

I woke up dreaming
It was Ours, not mine, not yours
And I’m not sorry

I’ll dress for the day
You’ll finally break the Grail
Feel me applaud you

Please come back on wings.
With fire in your wings. And teach
me all about pitch.

Someone else’s shoes
See them struggling over there
Go and walk with them

With each soaring wing
And with the strum of each string
I felt the deep sing

In the writing world
In the whole-wide, spinning world
In my little world

When I’m wandering
-as in, stumbling-Mighty God
warms the rain for me.
