Statuesque

Leggy
Considering going dancing
And, cannot care whether the two-step is solo

Reminiscent
Keeper…giver…wayfarer
A better time…a good time…now is the time

Blooming
Stationary, unwary, worthy
Holding all manner of good secrets to share

Fragrant

I have been to lavender fields on what you might call
“A great day.”
Oh that the flowers would have told me,
“Love buds not with him — come fast away!”
He’ll not pray that you sit
He’ll not fight the good fight
He’ll not be by your side ‘til the end
You’re the bride and the groom
You’re your own epic bloom
You’re your bravest and loving best friend

Perch

Flowers
They’ve suffered at my hand
Frost
Did I discount them
Never
I, as would many others
Nurturers
Set them again in the sun
Believing
They would continue
Blooming

Single Torch

I took all the light in lieu
A select vessel
And with these, vanished to a sunnier place on high

I didn’t ask

Though it still pains me that no one put up a fight

There is more East now than ever before

Here, the Sunflowers turn their faces skyward
Earth and stars seem everywhere

The May-blooming Magnolia disappeared with me, too

Gracious, though
I left a single torch and White Tulips
For my shadow, who remains there, sometimes
