Country: A Haiku
Tenor with a twang
Will you sing of daughters’ eyes
Charge that they not sigh
LisaMae
First fearfully made, consecrated one
Then daughter, blessed by a blood second to none
An auntie, to dear flesh -my heart did they steal
Now “Hi Mom” to Tiger, a cub with my zeal
He blessed me, here I stand, in nothing but grace
Surrounded in mercy’s why I seek His face
girl genius
She would seem simple
She would wear gingham
Carolina in her blood
Straight talk and backbone
Not a chance she’d want curls
I’m not sure if she’d laugh
But her eyes’d have a smile
And her voice’d have a lilt
When she’d call kindness home
