Legend

The water most blue
And the wake so gentle

As the fabled ghost, now untied, makes its way away, away

The confused and seasick struggles to fix a gaze
With a hope that makes legends prove true

Shouldn’t We

We should lean back

And feel the thrill escape one another

In a scream

In a giggle

As we hide, half buried in the amber-copper canvas

And wait

And watch

For the inexplicable supernatural

Shouldn’t we
