This Haiku: Holdouts

Bird friends bounce near ice
Like tick’ling piano keys
Willing it to melt

This Haiku: We Upward

People, like prizes,
You have placed upon my path.
Please prosper these. Please.

A tiny lotus
Plus an open, airy-ness
And, I think too, us

Where will I go with
this day that You created
just for my clear eyes?

I’m happy enough
to jump in the Lake and I
think you should join me.

Black river, gold sea
I’ll swim in them both gladly
If Your Word guides me

Each and every dot
and all points still unknown. Now,
throw away the map.

I’ll hold your bare foot
if you’ll Captain this strong ship.
Our hearts the compass.
