Words, just used-up words
Images promising lies
And hell broken loose

A Haiku: Anchorage

These breathing creatures
Dark and fair and so much more
They are why I walk

Be not heartbroken
Duel daily some unicorn
Wave this magic wand

Tho’ long on wisdom
I daily break my own heart
With wondering eyes

You Awoke from deep
To tell me you’re Not afraid
It is my turn now

Different duties
Shoulder to shoulder we stand
Equal in His plan

What if two minutes

Was all you’d left to love them

Would you just use words

As I am breathing
As sure as I am, I’ll turn
And exhale with you

Gifted with a day
Too tough to look in the eyes
But you must, my love

There was more glory
There was the lake’s crashing waves
There was my full heart
