Bellwether

This Day again
And this place
Here I move happily up That Hill
At an easily difficult pace
On account of my heart
And all that it hopes and hoped

I close my eyes to make a wish
A steady shutter
A sturdy tripod
On solid ground
A bellwether
Are all that comes to mind

Pleased

Square
Straight-on
Smack-dab in the middle
Smiling

First though
The trace of lines
Then of curves
Then lines again
The look down finally
Pleased
Hoping you were too
Star struck

Happy

I know you’re wrapped in bedhead
Blue
That I’ll never get my blanket
Back
That you don’t own a funny
Bicycle
That a fast one, you are
But
I know I’m happy I never left you

Piano Like That

He looked like a man
Preparing
Breath for
The happiest of walks
The most frozen day of the year

He and the sun
Dazzled
My eyes
So I cannot be
So sure he was walking at all

He held a hangered suit coat
Surrounding
Him was
A small line of cars
A possible well-wishing Brotherhood

He had puff to his chest
Relief
Of gaze
My heart asked me to ask
My breath could not and I drove past
