Rose-colored glasses
And the perfect length lever
Let’s begin the move

Light: A Haiku
Each a prism, we are
In faith, we allow truth in
With hope, we speak out
Yes Goddesses
With prophetic vision
All the women
In the family
Mothers and daughters
Cousins and nieces
With pets present
Met in unison
Tethered their souls
Gathered their wisdom
Shared bad meals
Cried then laughed
Rolled up sleeves
Studied the data
Examined their hearts
Consulted with God
Exhaled a “Yes”
Cleaned the mess
Moved some mountains
Saved the world
Then slept soundly
HOPE: A Haiku
Therapy is he
An untested medicine
A miracle cure
Goodness Forward
I see we
Coral reefs rebuilding
Faith and science merging
Fingers intertwining
Neighborly and such
Time to be
Touching at heart-level
With one cause, all rebels
Sisters, brothers ever
Keeping, caring much
One, two, three
Breaths, then best foot forward
Goodness in deed and word
See how heaven has heard
Angels among us
Unpause
What if my blink lasts an extra beat more
Unintended, I cannot explain
What if while this, my inhale I implore
Is reality seeking to feign?
Gravity, come, take your match by the hand
Ether has waited for this
Fluttering eyes, staccato breath
So much words culminate in a kiss
Evidencing hope
In the perfect of now, get in line
Pretend you’ve a past together
A resounding “Atta Girl!”
