Heavy now
And
Every moment
Awaits
Your Light

Uneven
Everything. The shiny,
The hot, the wishing for warmth
And that pilot’s still circling
Not caring for landing field light
Or the heat of home afterall
But circling
Higher and away
As if captaining a star flight
Upon which I can only draft
dawn’s fact
Reaching under toward
The unlit light
For an anchor
For something
Always and alone
I could cry -I have and I do
This I promise
Stay there too long
With tears ankle deep
And you’ll miss the maddening laughter
That carries you safely through
To dawn’s fact
Flower Peddlers: A Haiku
A leather-looped cord
Hanging taught, holding a light
Where there’d been sorrow
Everytime Eyes
Every time I look
The light always turns on
And I’ll reach with wonder
To put it out
Hoping
You don’t find yourself
Missing the dark
Shutter-struck
Getting lost when
The shadows are long
And amber-y light
Glints
From
A particular piece
Of a place on this Earth
To
Your eye and you blink
And are found
