I loved you
I loved
Sleeping along side you
Listening to you breathe
Basking in your presence through the night
Seeing in the morning you were real
Sharing berries at breakfast with you
I’ll be damned — you were larger than life
And your walking away — without a goodbye — a most epic plot twist
A pie in the face afterall
Liquid Heat
Oxygen, I
Afire, you
Particular particulate matter, we
Your grey-green eyes, my green, green eyes
This was all that mattered
Dissipated, now
Why
Science and God refuse to explain
Sacred Act: A Haiku
Please be a balance
Of God’s mercy and justice
His soft and His strong
Inner-being
Eyes that see
Seeing as I am seeing less and less of That lately
A heart not beating for the sole purpose of breaking a heart
Since, refusing to settle,
Dancing
Character, and A character
About whom I’ll pen an epic true-story novel
A Love who’ll not put This Love on a shelf
Nor ever leave it
Unread
Avilion
One fluid motion this life
Don’t let the fits and starts fool you
A seeming inability to find what it’s all for
When people pain your heart
Love them aloud anyway
Should the days forbare to reveal truth
Herald the light nonetheless
Befriend all of nature
Indulge noisy children
Sing a workaday’s song
To the water’s depth, say, “OK”
At the end of the day, this is what it’s all for
Don’t let your eyes miss the overflow
One silken strand this life to weave

Dear Graduates
I feel so disastrous, then how is it I sing?
Might it be my surroundings, these graceful youth-filled souls
Maybe that it’s this One Time, these dapper-Dan’s and Gals
The cotton-candy low-sun skies and promising new lives
Despite the struggles of this year, which brought fourth omni-tears
Farewell, hello, dear graduates, our hearts tethered despite
Roguing
Ripped from her victory garden
With promises of Roses & Violets
Sugar & Sweet compliments
Tiny poems as pollen
Soon left alone, till in hand
Thistle seed as some parting gift
So goes love to life
Roguing now, she
Mothering nature
In the early Spring sun
Blamed, but cultivating, still
Step Lively
If you’re trekking alone in the dark
The train station within sight
Hope of home in your heart
Schedule unknown but hoping you won’t be late
Those obstacles in the meantime?
The throngs of strangers
The loved One who neither noticed you’re gone, nor cares whether you’ll ever return
A nearly dead battery and bank balance
Yesterday tethered around your ankles
Take comfort, you are seen
Someday, in 20/20 hindsight, find
A candle shone in some window
That beautiful soul, burned for you
The train leaves sharp at 11:11pm
You are loved far greater than you think
Now run, freely
And step lively

Last time my heart’ll fall
Remind me to love, Lord
