Tapped

Since childhood
This morning
I love the unexplained
The camel caravan
The deep
I search the gray matter

You the lynchpin
For then and now
The love explained
The morning quest
The amber
I find the merit

And lick my lips

Mama Super

Where I find my trouble
At this time of the Day
Wanting my bones to matter
To someone’s outstretched hand

Then oft’ times if there’s time
Throughout the Dayiong dance
Comes the wish to walk it off
In most unorthodox shoes

When I pour the Day’s last tea
The mild then seems hard
But as the lights come off I speak
Unnecessarily aloud, I did that

Home Team

How fitting with tears
Already my eyes
Awake and about, too early for my taste today
Sitting before sunrise in morning’s faux light
Unfortunate scores, smiling lovers surprised on Kiss-Cam, toxic food stuffs

Damned Birds on the field
Root, root, root ’round my thoughts
But I wished
Thus, the tears

received

In the morning
Later than now if not already
Well after you’ve stirred about
The smallest voice if not the thunder
Will call to you

Will you hear I’ve asked before
When it won’t go away notice
It’s resonance in your moving feet
That have come awake
In the morning

dawn’s fact

Reaching under toward
The unlit light
For an anchor
For something
Always and alone
I could cry -I have and I do
This I promise
Stay there too long
With tears ankle deep
And you’ll miss the maddening laughter
That carries you safely through
To dawn’s fact

Cat

Would that you unwrap me

Slowly winding off the dressings distressing me

While I drift peacefully, mind and limb reposed now

Resisting my nocturnal nature

Into eve’s restful comfort, then

With morning might pounce

To repay you for eased night
