Sweet Green Man

Without fail he bends his light in love to you
And colors your name in all the spaces of his places
Run to him girl, pot of gold

A more true bow in all the rain in all the world you’ll not find
Redeem his hope and offer up your second chance
Soothe him girl, pot of gold

Silk Sherlock

It was something like silk
In the same shade of green
As the rings ’round my eyes
Whose flecks match the flowers in yours

And I wondered whether
It’d wow other women
(Which it did)
But-it-seems-to-have-wowed-you-too

Now laced within these lines
An invitation to investigate
If it is indeed
Silk
Sherlock

Heat Storm

While shopping for shoes I shouldn’t have been

Shoes too fancy for anything in these parts

An omen -I mean, a song- wafted on and on overhead

Music too loud as usual, but it caught my conscience

I could barely make out the words, as airily whispered as they were

Some friend apologizing to another for the weather or for using much too much

Electricity

Man On The Roof

You steal

Scenes abandoned and almost forgotten

You magnify

Memories faint but revival-worthy

You help

Hearts fighting yet weakened

You build

Brotherly-love mortared with hope

You. Needed. Here. There.

Great White Eyes

I wonder while swimming
While swimming with wonder
If
He
With
Nothing but instinct
Sneaked up to me
If

With
Complete compassion and some kelp
Reached out to him
Would
He
Then
Let me touch and soothe
And look deep into
Great
White
Eyes
