I admire the try
Despite the spotlights and fanfare
All artificial, to date
Nothing like the great outdoors
Next comes the hardening
Hardly a problem at all
No one knows the struggle, then strength
O’ The Seedling

I admire the try
Despite the spotlights and fanfare
All artificial, to date
Nothing like the great outdoors
Next comes the hardening
Hardly a problem at all
No one knows the struggle, then strength
O’ The Seedling

Chaos, wasn’t it?
Dissonance and double-speak
What we were told
What we watched and felt
What a slanderous soup of fits
Where were we to find our breath?
Pausing, finally, to ask what’s Possible
Starting there, this exhausting journey
Ended here, this beginning bliss
A thing still strange to us
But oh, isn’t forgiveness fine?
Found only by grasping hold of The hand
In Whose image we’re made
I’ve arrived
You’ve arrived

None can contain me
Stop my shine, nor quench my flares
I’m simply…Fiery

Mighty, mighty Satellites
Together, we preserve the tide
We wax, we wane, though never fade
Our force detected through the day
We’re New, we’re Full, we’re Gravity
No Cloud obscures the Light we see
A pow’r couple, acting odd
We, dwellers in the City of God

Here’s my smile, it can’t be “quiet,” for I feel Sunny
We’re alive, and in this moment, that is thrilling
This invitation I extend, yet I’m confounded
How most times, it goes unnoticed…unaccepted
But this fair soldier, marches on, undeterred
Undiscouraged, lacking any short-term mem’ry
If you see me, carry on, or you may join me
Either way, I cannot care…there is this mission

I am the godsend
Who flew them to you
You won’t think to thank me
What learning you’ll do
We shan’t leave this life
‘Til this truth finds the mind:
Fairytale thinking,
That must stay behind

Maybe we needed That Wind
That Spirit, changing us from within
Raging ‘gainst our window’s panes
Rattling our beliefs about what’s right
When morning came
Sand was shook and rock now stands
How much longer would the night have been
Praise God for That Wind

And I drove to the ocean
And laughed alot
Spoke of muscle cars with motor heads
Saw The Milky Way
And it was the first time
And the only time
Food tasted perfectó
Sand made sense
And although I ruined the piñas
And strayed too far from shore
Living has felt sweeter
Smiling has saved me

Dedication: To my family, to all flowers, and to best friends — whether I ever see them again.
I wanted the mystery
I’m not the only one
It’s still there, waiting
And it never runs
Nor tries to hide
So I spy
Sometimes unintentionally
With my little hoping eye
And see
Intrigue smile at me — what glee!
Thankful for such prophecy
This jubilant rush
Calls with none notice
And we run…and we see
Magnificat unlocked
