Defined
Should I behave
As a proper afterthought
Maybe
But know I will not
Nor am I sorry
For, a relegated me
Wearing invisible ink
Can never be
Order of Operation
Subtraction
We close our eyes alone each night
Takeaway
It’s always, always, freezing rain
The difference
The wintry side of the moon, it seems
Inner, last
What did we expect? There are rules
dialogues in haiku
I’ll speak on in bliss
I’ll choose such feigned ignorance
We know what follows
“The Currency of Grace”
Surprised to see the a.m. sun
Afire
Shining through
The door I’d forgotten I’d opened
Left open
To remind myself I’m alive
Praise
A part of this world
Apart from this world
And out of this world, too
Anyway, first, foremost
Tending to all the green
I thought to stop, I felt ashamed
Guilt
For all I’m giv’n, undeserved
But, my friend told me the currency
Grace
One Palm: A Haiku
Reach. Oh, please reach!
It’s your strength, your needfulness
That tells us, “Reach, too.”
The Day Before Solstice
I disobeyed rules
Expected of the absence
I focused on some sequel
Not yet written, and may never be
Now, I backtrack,
Tiptoe away, and can earnestly say
I’m sorry for lavender lies,
For black diamond beginnings
Naught: A Haiku
I’ll leave you speechless
You try me, I promise you
I befriend crickets
Processor
It was as simple a thing as pesto
The green of it
The freshness of it
The scent, that, make no mistake,
Made me forget the difficult bridge
I’d thought to jump from
But instead crossed, then burned
On purpose
For good
A scrapper from the start
Us on our wheels
