Blot: A Haiku
Soaring, swooping thing
You’re asking me to notice
Yet distracting me
Evermore
You were dangerous to us
“possessing, and full of”
Your “me” mentality
Experimenting with our experience
Traumatizing our time
Leaving behind
Ghosted train tracks
Coming ahead
Haunting this road
Moreover,
The unhallowed years-
Unending and never over
What peace?
What peace there might have been

And once I’m abandoned, accused

Promise me the Summer, give Winter
Give me this November, promise not

I lit a match
I set them words on fire, yeah!
Crazy wasn’t my friend then
But I’m swimmin’ in it now, boy!
It was absolutely Spring
I’d remembered what she said
Sunflower Revolution
Who does the wind think it is?
Provoking
Dog barkings
Promoting
Heart havings
When will change not want its way?
Down playing
Naysaying
Up lifting
Day claiming

The time we had….
Our table, looks like love was made here
Real
Hungry love
The time we had!
