Pieces and parts
Never a whole
Never a woman worthy
Always too much
Less than enough
Less than a dance deserving

Pieces and parts
Never a whole
Never a woman worthy
Always too much
Less than enough
Less than a dance deserving

Oh go, wind
Leave at a speed faster than you are
And for once, have silence be your sound
How dare you awaken me
To the truth of the night
How dare you remind me
I am alone, and the chafe
Act sovereign, but know
I and the Sun
We will be here still, when you’re gone

A god of sorts, and my muse, how you made me
Created me and made me reach
Let me cry, watched me love
Let me down, helped me up
Some universe, somewhere is missing what dust

(It’s 8 o’clock soon
Such a long time since sundown, and the naysayers have settled into the alone
All that’s left I know to do
Thank God for the time, and feel the heartbeat of the those who share mine)

This upside-down heart
This day-after disaster
This should-have-been dream

Her poem and her own gorgeous narration steals your breath and hijacks your brainwaves. Be forewarned.
Photographs and compilation by Theodora Baranowski. Be thankful for her too.
For my would-be, life-long, forewarned and thankful lover and valentine, #ILoveYou.
