Past Time: Her Haiku
Fuck this very zoo
Where captivity drives you
To regret your eyes

Consecrated Girl
Born for a time such as this
You have been called up

Equal in this pen
Harken back now to the days
‘fore you suffered snakes

“The determination of thy will shall be yielded to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”

“[F]or if you remain silent at this time…you and your family will perish…who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
– Esther 4:14
More Sure

Original Thought Credit: Tasha Cobbs Leonard, “I’m Getting Ready”
Shut-up, Stranger
Sixth-sense brushes with the Supernatural
Celebratory tinnitus signaling soon-to-arrive portals
And I feel aglow
For, what I’d failed to recognize
All those years
The Stranger and her offspring wished to silence me
Instead, I bravely shout from the rooftops each day
Renewed
What I used to fear, I ride out now, breathe easy and know
Answers are on their way
Justice is coming like a freight train
Roguing
Ripped from her victory garden
With promises of Roses & Violets
Sugar & Sweet compliments
Tiny poems as pollen
Soon left alone, till in hand
Thistle seed as some parting gift
So goes love to life
Roguing now, she
Mothering nature
In the early Spring sun
Blamed, but cultivating, still
Perseus & Me: A Haiku
Closed my eyes to see
Broad daylight, which God ordained
That mystified me
Wonder Frog: A Haiku
Has my song struck out
Whistled ribbit-rhythm sunken
Never to ascend?
Step Lively
If you’re trekking alone in the dark
The train station within sight
Hope of home in your heart
Schedule unknown but hoping you won’t be late
Those obstacles in the meantime?
The throngs of strangers
The loved One who neither noticed you’re gone, nor cares whether you’ll ever return
A nearly dead battery and bank balance
Yesterday tethered around your ankles
Take comfort, you are seen
Someday, in 20/20 hindsight, find
A candle shone in some window
That beautiful soul, burned for you
The train leaves sharp at 11:11pm
You are loved far greater than you think
Now run, freely
And step lively

So pretty you wish
Remind me to love, Lord
Proceed out of Winter
