Reminding
Of light

Actual version of who I once knew
Free of the virtual grey
I’ll be the color-filled breath of true life
Looking for only you

I would watch this woman-girl

I noticed when it was that she looked helpless

She looked outward, upward maybe, but not on purpose

She’d settle then

Today, I saw her mocked

She saw it too, straight away

Who would do this, I wondered, she wondered

Hopeless-believers, we knew it was someone

Begging her to look inward

I would watch this woman

The best feathers, friend
You fly fierce, soaring with hope
Breathe with me good bird

If you must seek me
My cinnamon lips
My sunflower eyes

I’m holding the Hope
Who’s wrapped in the Light
She’s all I’ve pursued

The sea greets our vow
While Canon in D
Rides soft on the wind

You’d not planned for this
Hold onto your faith
And seek hope anew
