Inner-being

Eyes that see
Seeing as I am seeing less and less of That lately
A heart not beating for the sole purpose of breaking a heart
Since, refusing to settle,
Dancing

Character, and A character
About whom I’ll pen an epic true-story novel
A Love who’ll not put This Love on a shelf
Nor ever leave it
Unread

Universe Orator

Space

The far out there we strive to delve into
The mired-down terra here we call home

Be brave, if you will

Act to master the wherefore
Despite arms never long enough
Lousy, camera-fumbling hands
Fingers that can’t match the shutter speed
To touch what the eyes so beautifully see
To hold that light reflecting
From the Universe Orator

Still, we of mortal’s strength
With small or great faith
Must reach celestial-ward
Look up
Cry out
Be healed

Original Thought Credit: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
-2 Chronicles 7:14

Sky Eye

You would say, “I see you”
I’d say, “How absurd”
You would tell me to look close
InBetweenEachWord

I, with human heart and soul
Need enlightened news
You, with your electric eye
Have nothing to lose

Kinetic

We look ahead at sixty now
The gander, grace-filled
The graceful goose
Silvery fire, calm
Wondrous!

So we wait and keep walking
Flying, when we’re able
But never again bewildered
If we would not be this
We could not be that

Crushed

Busy, busy, boy in red
But I’m swifter still

Get my demise in your head
Think to be my pill

Do you dream I’ll give my all
To your damnedest plan

This Dark Friday caused your fall
My The Great I Am

Hear, See, Act

Gentle of course, and incredulous
I’d ask them
With my eyes
To consider
With their ears
Now
If, having heard
Do they see
Linen in my clutches
Lace dangling from my left
And as I drop it down
Do they move
To run and rescue and reclaim
What is ours

See This

In the new of each day
In the impossibly early
Traffic-lights-still-blinking hour
If you dare with me
Pick up the grain of sand that represents some hope
Place it in a place not far
With goal to keep belief’s door
Ajar
Make the wish that others see to do the same
Tomorrow, tonight you’ll say,
Invite the ocean
