I summoned you so hard
So in earnest
Sent out all my Super-she energy
With such sheer-will
With mountainous hope
Which always worked so well for me

But found only my own enlightenment

It can only be the powers that be
Felt fit to see
You find yourself
And not
Mountain climbing

Sandy-haired, please find yourself

I wonder if I can be found
At the perfect
I here, there with you
When you think you are crumpled
In the dark
And lost to the light

I need not wonder
I know
I was gifted
This cape
And in Summer you were born

Was that photographed tree
Standing strangely tall above the tree line
An old soul of a sapling
Was he?

Were the smallest birds smart
Drawing near to his clear air up there
Beckoned by his branches -come, play!
Were they?

Will people seek solace
Called by common-ground conscience
Hearing his cry -come up high!
I cannot ask anymore

What You Seek

How will you find it
Where will you go
It’s not just outside of that door
It’s not in the sing-song
The hoping to belong
You won’t find it pacing the floor

I suspect but don’t know
It’s there for receiving
If all at once we take a breath
Take one step then the next
To rewrite the old text
And treat it like it’s life or death

What if the mirror told
I was no longer there
Taken, stolen, gone, away
Would you think to care

Would you put up
‘Lost Cat’ flyers
On tall trees
From here to there

Would you seek me
For my marching
In your hair

If the warm winds took me
To pillows that allow
My sleepy and my crazy
Would you miss my meow

Tell whether you would fight the winds
For each of our nine lives
To bring me back, once and for all
And marry my green eyes
