Sherlocked, Still

I wanted the mystery
I’m not the only one
It’s still there, waiting
And it never runs
Nor tries to hide

So I spy
Sometimes unintentionally
With my little hoping eye
And see
Intrigue smile at me — what glee!

Thankful for such prophecy
This jubilant rush
Calls with none notice
And we run…and we see
Magnificat unlocked

We Sleuth

Whether ink or lead
Or in aerosoled hue
I own thee, my friend
Placed my mark upon you

It’s your fault, inspirer
You’ve caused my daydream
Your borderless pages
From which you Love-scream

Never stop speaking
Such fanciful truth
I fight with you, write with you
Together we sleuth

Silk Sherlock

It was something like silk
In the same shade of green
As the rings ’round my eyes
Whose flecks match the flowers in yours

And I wondered whether
It’d wow other women
(Which it did)
But-it-seems-to-have-wowed-you-too

Now laced within these lines
An invitation to investigate
If it is indeed
Silk
