The I Am
I once watched
With gaping jaw
And guilty skin
This One Guy acknowledge humanity
He came alongside the sorrow
Full-on admitted the fire
Reached out His hand nonetheless
Then stepped forth
In Everlasting Love
That I’d have new life
My God!
So I say, Here Am I
Wall: A Haiku

Joy feels as a sin
A mad day, an angry day
Despite pure motives
Sinned: A Haiku
See now this bold proof
Hearing the violin song
The feel of the fallLook now the loud choir
Listen these are Holy words
The help to stand tall
glancing down: A Haiku
She’ll wear her hair loose
and a white scarf to cover
his sins ‘gainst her heart
Sin: Another Haiku
Laughing as I walked
He was scheming as my heart
Sought out its best friend
Institutionalized
Do you wish it weren’t so blue
Or even bluer still
Are you wondering just how vast
And just how deep the thrill
If you stripped off the leather
With the stigma of our skin
And charged, full speed, down that Great Bluff
Reversing that Great Sin
