Such is the challenge
To behold a door
To sense all it leads to
While not grieving more

To know if it’s opened
The Divine has willed
To praise, when it’s closed
His providence, still

Forth, amble with purpose
Or wait night and day
But ask for The Blessing
God’s presence, to stay

The I Am

I once watched

With gaping jaw

And guilty skin

This One Guy acknowledge humanity

He came alongside the sorrow

Full-on admitted the fire

Reached out His hand nonetheless

Then stepped forth

In Everlasting Love

That I’d have new life

My God!

So I say, Here Am I

Mother of A Son

I’m telling your Mother

That she should not feel less than full delight

The pouring out of her heart, the raising up of her prayers

Reward

Now comes you, feet firm, breaking rules and records ‘neath the firmament

With kindness and heart-strength -look at how you look at us

We, treasure to you and reasons to hope, so you come close to learn

Simple and virtuous, your needs

Unafraid to speak from love, write of love, to be and die for love

Lovely Mother, you’ve lived Right, you have not squandered Light
