26.2: A Haiku

It seems all these words
Tall, Dark and Most Unworthy
Are solely for you

Know that You, Tempter
With fair, yet transparent shell
Are hollow to me

The blush as I stare
Just as hotly checks my soul
Which has sent you off

Precious are these times
So I cast my eyes away
Miles and miles away

Had I spare minutes
I'd give account to your loss
It goes on and on

Haiku for Julie B

Her heart in command
Whether days be bright or dark
She walks forth in truth

The flowers watch her
She shows them color and strength
They follow her lead

Move

What is the loveliest thing
I Am that

Who is the most humble One
I Am He

Where does the Earth need the Sky
I Am there

The way we must live to fight well
I Am how

The reason that they will hear hope
I Am why

The now to remember your strength
I Am when

LOVE

No heart involved
No
It is the skin
It is the thick and the tender
That the blind won’t abide
That the visionary won’t avoid
The rough and the soft
The sweat, the tears, the blood
Which ought run free
Which prove the day-in and day-out
To beautify that veneer
To strengthen the hearts involved

Begin Before Breakfast

I inhale it all in
Back straight and stretched
Allowing air into places
The world bids me to forego
Just when the stiffness
The starched, itchy-stickiness
Tries to take over
To bubble over
I exhale and come away
Clear-headed

Sound Ground

Since I was seven
Or sooner
I’d the biggest biceps
The fleetest feet
See how I saved you
Before you knew to feel
Afraid

All it is now is late
Tho’ fixed more mighty than then
I’m ready to jump
Jump
Jump
And this time
Let you catch me
