Struts up to dawn’s height
Stares forth with arrogance
Daring dark to linger

Always next awe-spun
Despite there was no doubt
Dark destined to fall prey

Hope, before you walk,
I see no desert roses
nor seek a mirage.

Took and takes
Dust
Gave and gives
Breath
Because He loves

Said and says
Daily
I love you world
Free and freer
I love Him back

I believe that all I need finds deep rest in my heart.

Front & center stood dawn’s green sky
Brazen bolts broke the horizon in two
Feathery flashes fused them back

Saturday’s storm scripted this
Audacious as it is

Pry me away please
Lest I blind you right here. Now.
And solar winds muss

Toys in the tub
Clothes in a pile on the tile
Defense at the ready
Will we survive the giggles of The Big Day?

My family sustains me
They give their love freely
And shape the world I see
More perfect they can’t be

I do not want to want more
I am content at the ground floor
I’ll give a hand up, open doors
Serving the many who need more

Let’s travel to Where Scares Me
