This Haiku: Soul Song

We all have one, no?
But if yours be ripped away
Befriend agony

This Haiku: superman’s signature

I know what I saw
in the phone booth -truth, justice.
I’m keeping his cape.

A soft place in my heart
for the Ghost who makes art
from the trials of life
I’d hoped to be It’s….

Of that hope, It can’t leave
-pinned It tight to my sleeve
and the songs I’ll still sing
but I’ll wear my own….

Original Thought Credit: “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” Dylan Thomas

Cast aside selfish fear
Find Life’s scruff
Grasp
Eye to eye, tell It the truth:

You’re the only One and I am blessed
Don’t You dare settle for any day
Where You don’t love more
Where all isn’t risked just for You

Quiet please, the song
Do I hear the feet, the arms
The dance at the door

Oh, never you mind
I’ve studied the steps, practiced
Take my hand shadow

Adrenaline push
Blood takes its leave and the heart
Daydreams of the West

Blank canvas at hand
Let’s make babies of all kinds
What medium suits

Pray, what’s that knoll there?
Or, instead that green patch there?
She’s not there. Not there.

Jump first, you must dare.
Then fall, fall to quench the fear.
She purposes Here.

I keep my treasures secret
Please don’t rush me as I seek
I need time to contemplate the gold
In life’s travels to new peaks

I’ll share them soon I promise
I’ll tell you my magic tales
You’ll be enthralled as I am
And re-live firsts through my regales

I’d need a lifetime
For each syllable gives pause
And summons the heart
