Our noise is nicest
Confusing, mystical and
Not of this planet

This Haiku: The Waters Test

Today’s pulse beats soft:
“Be happy for the happy.”
“Eyes and chin stay up.”

Do you think you will
(this touch of gold you possess)
wield it forever?

Your calm in these days

As I simply live my life

I’m expecting this

Your humor is fierce
You come in like a lion
June will tame you. Down.

The Whales hold the words
And Light can name the beauty
My language fails me

My heart battles back
Moments that sing out: “Fear This!”
Then God takes the mike

I failed to answer
When I was quizzed about you
In a recent dream

If asked now, I’d cry:
“You’re posing the wrong question.
He’s always showed up.”

Praise You, that You placed
the Sun in our souls, and too
-the stars in our eyes.

Did the trumpet sound?
Tho’ I may not feel your depths,
I’m drenched in your paint.
