This Haiku: I Love This Hat

Far too many days
Hearing far too many “No’s”
But I’ll always stay

This Haiku: Be Aware

You smell so spicy
I will savor you slowly
You’ll shout to the sun

It knows all of me.
I hear it in my air. Why?
That song’s a fighter.

I’ll step in the ring.
Hoping our song together
will gain us the win.

Regardless of if
it’s my friend or my foe, I
must make peace in it.

Always at breakfast
Let’s look down at our instep
And see perfection

Our hearts leap and spy
On the floor, near the table
The blessed red capes

All night the candle
Burned bright, flickering, hoping
For tea in the morn’

Don’t you dare duck out
Before eternity’s done
These paths beg our hands

There’s a lush green place
Inside each of us, there is
That gives and receives

Bird Two said, “Bird One,
yes -let’s have This with our That.
You fine, feathered friend.”

Each Day, you gift me.
Each day, I’ll honor you. I’ll
look you in your eyes.
