This Haiku: and only Time

I’ll forever reach
To wrap Time fast in my arms
Though it flees, I’ll reach

This Haiku: I Plan To Trust

The rains burned our backs
When its promise was to soothe
I’ll still trust and touch

I love you too much.
To awaken you. Dreaming.
But it’s a school day.

Plaid felt soft then hard
Convergent then divergent
It felt near then far

This surely will be
a beautiful day. Light burst
forth. Dark could not stay.

No letters I see.
Just the breathless space where we
walk, talk and share life.

I want to dress up
And cook with too much sugar
Kitchen, indulge me

What Hell would break loose
If for a time, not the pen
But instead her hand

I know for certain
My feet are by far more swift
Than forces that be

Far too many days
Hearing far too many “No’s”
But I’ll always stay

You smell so spicy
I will savor you slowly
You’ll shout to the sun
