Oh the shade of shame
Of hearing my very heart
Only those two years

Badger: A Haiku

The arms-length loving
All my forsaken flowers
Crushed by distant words

Invisible flag
I lay claim in the hollow
Unrequited Love

When you do your best
Yet things don’t work out as hoped
You still did your best

In the such short years
We see them all fall away
And our promises….

Who doesn’t think time
Will soon whisper to us all
I’ve lied for too long

What is this soul-mate
This muse, who wears Others’ shoes
Whose worth walks these halls

Now broken-hearted
What good the premonitions
What purpose the eyes

All these thoughts flooding
Who’ll be resolved not to drown
Who’ll fight and rise up

Take today aside
Wearing that very same smile
Speaking only truth
